About the experience.
The trucks are Mercedes-Benz Unimogs built for terrain that would stop an ordinary 4x4. They leave the edge of Vallarta behind and head into the mountains, fording streams and climbing to remote, traditional villages.
The day mixes a wildlife hike in the tropical forest, a look at village food and customs, and a lunch by the beach with an open bar. Breakfast, lunch, beer and tequila and purified water are included; departures are from Marina Vallarta or Nuevo Vallarta.
If you have already done the El Tuito day, this is a different route: a village-and-jungle loop that ends at the beach rather than the botanical gardens and the river.

01How is this different from Hidden Mexico: El Tuito?
Both use Unimog trucks. El Tuito goes south to the botanical gardens, a colonial village and a river lunch. The Offroad Adventure climbs into the mountains for a village visit, a forest hike and lunch by the beach.
02Is the ride rough?
The Unimogs are open-air and the route crosses streams and rough tracks, so the ride is not open to anyone with back problems or to pregnant guests.
03What is included to eat and drink?
Breakfast, lunch, beer, tequila and purified water.
