About the experience.
The Sierra Madre ride is a one-hour tour into the forest above Puerto Vallarta with an English-speaking guide. The high point comes at the Cuale River, where you ride into the clear water and swim with your horse. Shuttle service and purified water are included.
The Punta Mita ride is a quiet one on the coast: beach, jungle and the village of Higuera Blanca, escorted by the ranch’s cowboys on calm, well-kept horses. It finishes with a tequila tasting, and round-trip transport and bottled water are included.

- Punta Mita ride: minimum age 6 and maximum weight 260 lbs (118 kg). Not open to pregnant guests or to anyone with back, neck, heart or dizziness conditions, and cameras are not allowed during the ride.
- Sierra Madre ride: maximum weight 264 lbs (120 kg). Not open to pregnant guests, to anyone with asthma or heart or back problems, or to anyone under the influence of alcohol; cameras are not allowed for safety.
- Bring: light clothes and closed shoes, insect repellent and cash for photos, souvenirs or the restaurant; for the river ride, a change of clothes, a towel and spare shoes.

01Do we need riding experience?
No. The Punta Mita horses are chosen for their calm character and cowboys escort the ride; the Sierra Madre ride is guided and one hour long.
02Will we really swim with the horses?
On the Sierra Madre ride, yes: the route enters the Cuale River and you ride into the water. Bring clothes that can get wet.
03Is transport included?
Yes on both rides: a shuttle for the Sierra Madre ride and round-trip transport for Punta Mita. We confirm the pickup point with your booking.
04Can children ride?
The Punta Mita ride takes riders from age 6. No minimum age is published for the Sierra Madre ride; send ages when you request and we will confirm.
