About the experience.
Whale sharks are docile animals that pass through these waters on their migration, so the tour runs only while they are here. You swim alongside them at the surface with snorkel gear, accompanied by a bilingual guide.
The boat heads offshore into open, clear water. Snorkel gear and a life jacket are provided, with a light breakfast, lunch, water and soft drinks, and a beer once the swimming is done. Pickup is from hotels in Cancún and along the Riviera Maya.
