About the experience.
The boat leaves the Maritime Terminal in the morning and follows the coast south, with Puerto Vallarta spread out behind you. When time allows, there is a photo stop at Los Arcos de Mismaloya, five granite islets protected as a breeding ground for pelicans, blue-footed boobies and other sea birds.
The first stop is the beach at Colimilla, with an hour and a half to snorkel, kayak or paddleboard; the equipment is on board. Then it is a 30-minute run to Yelapa.
You have two and a half hours in Yelapa to spend on the beach, at the restaurant on the sand, or on the walk through the village to the waterfall. Continental breakfast, lunch and an open bar are served on board; food and drinks in Yelapa are at your own expense.

- Reaching the beach depends on the weather and sea conditions and involves a swim from the boat, so the tour is not recommended for inexperienced swimmers.
- Not open to pregnant guests or to anyone with back, neck, heart, balance or dizziness conditions. The walk to the waterfall needs a steady pace on foot.
- Bring: swimwear, sandals or comfortable shoes, light clothing, biodegradable sunscreen and insect repellent, sunglasses, a hat, a camera and some cash; a light jacket or windbreaker in winter.
